 What in the world is Oktoberfest?

The easiest way to describe it would be to say it is a German St. Patrick’s Day. Traditionally Oktoberfest is a week long celebration that started in Bavaria, Germany to celebrate the wedding of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese in 1810. Since then it has expanded to a two week festival of food, music and beer. In Germany it starts the last week of September and is celebrated through October. In the United States anytime is a good time for Octoberfest. With many breweries crafting Oktoberfest beers and our Oktoberfest tableware you have the perfect excuse to invite some friends over for your own Oktoberfest party.
